About Doctor
Dr Shanthi is a physician with a special interest in the healthcare of newborns and children. After graduating from Russia, she pursued postgraduate training in paediatrics at Manipal Hospital under Kathmandu University. During her postgraduate training, Dr Shanthi discovered her passion for the treatment of sick newborns and, as a result, worked in tertiary neonatal intensive care for more than 3 years. During this period, she developed expertise in various life-saving procedures and treatments for term and preterm infants.
She has experience in managing infants on different modes of ventilators and the use of nitric oxide. A gentle yet thorough professional by nature, Dr Shanthi strives to provide patient-centred and empathetic care. At Ovum Hospitals, she continues to pursue her interest in intensive care and the healthcare of newborns and paediatrics.
